This is a daguerreian photo-montage of 13 daguerreotypes of young women. These young women likely represent the same institution of learning.

Note the variances of style.


Left to right, in order of rows:
#1 has styled hair and wears a low-cut off-shoulder dress.
#2 has long hair and a buttoned-down look.
#3 wears a big bow and maintains a serious expression.
#4 is exotic and wears a stylish off-shoulder dress.
#5 wears diaphanous (see-through) material on her shoulders.
#6 also has sheer fabric, and holds back.
#7 wears a nice lace collar and large brooch.
#8 has thick hair and wears a textured sweater.
#9 has lots of frills in her hair and in her necklaces.
#10 is also exotic and stylish.
#11 appears proper and bright.
#12 seems studious and no-nonsense.
#13 wears a brightly patterned dress.

These are just our first impressions and you'll undoubtedly have your own. But what intrigue!

THERE IS AN EMPTY 14TH SPACE.

SIZE. Half plate, which means the daguerreotype is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches. This is considered large.

HOUSING. Full case with some wear.

CONDITION. Resealed in 2017 (not by us). A number of mold spiders (which is a misnomer for deposits of old glass). A few light brown spots. Heavy horizontal buff marks.

APPEARANCE. Very good contrast. Lovely young women.
