BURMA: LESSONS FOR CHILDREN

This appears to show 4 young pupils working on their reading, with a man and older boys in attendance. Besides all the very interesting activity, the carvings are fantastic.

Approximately 8 3/8 x 10 7/8 inches.
CONDITION
Some discoloration along left and bottom edges. A diagonal scratch at bottom of pillar, left side. Another diagonal scratch above the doorway. At upper left, corner is missing emulsion and there are 2 zig zag scratches or scuff marks. A crease at lower left corner. Some foxing. Other small spots and specks. When tilted, soiling is apparent on shoulder and neck of young man seated at left. Back has wear and soiling.
APPEARANCE
Rich sepia tones. Glossy. Great composition. Gorgeous and intricate details.
