Green corrosive spot on his chest. Other tiny corrosive spots nearby. Brown spots. Halo of tarnish around the perimeter. Horizontal buff marks and fine vertical scratches, but I suspect the fine vertical scratches
are also buff marks, because at this early date the plate preparer may not have known what he or she was doing.
