AFRICAN AMERICAN GRANDMA & BROTHER:
SHE WEARS POLKA DOTS

This tintype is in its original handsome pink paper sleeve. He sits, she stands, but she’s got the polka dots!

Handwritten on the back of the sleeve, in pencil: "Grandma ____ + Bro. Uncle Stephen."

TINTYPE
$145. USD

AFRICAN AMERICAN GRANDMA & BROTHER
SIZE
Tintype: We have not taken this out of the sleeve, but it appears to be approximately 3 1/4 x 2 1/8 inches. Sleeve: Approximately 4 x 2 1/2 inches.
CONDITION
Tintype: Light bends. A little scuff on her face. Minimal surface wear. Sleeve: Unfortunately, someone has put pieces of tape at the bottom, from the front around to the back. Dark marks on back.
APPEARANCE
Her face has very strong tones. The rest of the image has average contrast. Polka dots are desirable, as I found out in one of my ebay auctions. Nice sheen to this tintype. Great body language.
