SMILING PLAYFUL GIRLS & THEIR BLURRIED BROTHERS

Rarely has the Boston school of daguerreotypes (think John Whipple or Southworth & Hawes, my friend suggested the former but I think the latter) been so lively. The girls and baby at left are animated and smiling. The lighting is masterful. The brother on the far right sits still, but his little sibling up on the chair did not.
