Here is the U.S. Army being transported on a ship during the Spanish American War. Most of the soldiers hold rifles. There are some tough-looking guys in the mix. There's an African American included and since he's dressed like the man next to him, I assume he's a soldier. Lots to look at, lots to study.

SIZE. Opening in the mat (visible portion of photo): Approximately 7 15/16 x 10 5/8 inches. Mat: Approximately 14 x 11 inches. Mount: Approximately 10 1/4 x 13 1/4 inches.

CONDITION. Visible portion of photo: Some soiling. Mat: Wear around edges and at corners, including a missing piece at upper right. Small white spots and marks. Mount: Back has soiling, heavy discoloration, and some missing surface layer at right edge.

APPEARANCE. Very good tones. Very good composition. Some notable expressions. Please note that the actual photo is sharper than our scans.
