VIOLIN MAKER & DAUGHTER
INSIDE SHOP


Boudoir card features an elderly man holding the body of a violin.
A young woman, holding a violin and bow, sits across from him.
There are several tools on the table and a line up of violins hanging on the wall.
We know he’s a luthier because of the pile of wood scrapings and sawdust on the floor.

“A.G.H.” is handwritten above the photo on the mount.
Handwritten on back:
“Ed Hutchins & daughter.”

 Their faces are blurry, but this adds to the visual appeal of this image.
Excellent tones and details.
Unique photograph
CONDITION
 A few spots and specks.
Some scuffing.
Mount is heavily soiled and has worn corners.
Back has lots of scribbles and writing as well as
a drawing and a horizontal red mark.
