This is the Greig Hall Mansion in Canandaigua, Ontario County, New York. (See page 83 in 'Around Canandaigua,' from the 'Images of America' series by The Ontario County Historical Society - we have provided scans.)

There are five people in front of the main door to this residence: three men and two women.

SIZE. Half plate.

HOUSING. Full case with some wear.

CONDITION. Modern seals (not by us). Tarnish on perimeter. Black spots in the sky. White spot to the left of the 2nd floor middle window. Jagged white line above the 2nd floor window at right.

APPEARANCE. Bright. Very good contrast. Strong composition.
