The case alone is a nice addition to any collection. But then you open it up and see the visage of a young man. He has long hair and tinted cheeks. At the lower right corner of the mat: "PLUMBE."

CONDITION. CASE: Someone put translucent tape on the spine. Light wear elsewhere. DAGUERREOTYPE: Heavy tarnish. Brown spot by his eye. Light spots in his hair and above. Horizontal buff marks. Deteriorating glass replaced with hand-cut, high-quality, borosilicate glass by Derek French. Resealed.
