This CDV carries a joyful message for the holidays, as well as a date and the makers: "1882 A MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR E.P. Noble. E.D. Potter." There are 2 grasshoppers with top hats on either side of the "and." At lower left, there are 8 grasshoppers in a circle, along with the text: "ALL JOIN HANDS and CIRCLE TO THE LEFT." There is also an owl at the left edge.
SIZE. Approximately 2 7/16 x 4 1/16 inches.
CONDITION. Corners are clipped. Border has soiling, some foxing, and a horizontal crease. Back has soiling.
APPEARANCE. Sharp. Rich tones. Great graphics! A rare CDV.
