These two daguerreotypes come in one case. This package is original with matching mats and preservers. They're obviously all family.

OLDER COUPLE. The man looks intense as he wraps his arm around his wife. The woman seems pleased and accommodating.

MAN WITH TOP HAT. I assume this is their son. He looks self-assured with a casual yet stately pose.

SIZE. Quarter plate.

HOUSING. Full case.

CONDITION. OLDER COUPLE: Old glass replaced with hand-cut, high quality glass by Derek French. Resealed. Very light buff marks. Some color has migrated to the chin of the man. Mold spider on the lapel of his jacket. (Mold spider is a misnomer as they're actually deposits of glass.) Very good condition. MAN WITH TOP HAT: Old glass replaced with hand-cut, high quality glass by Derek French. Resealed. Very light buff marks. Mold spider between his shoulder and the left edge. Very good condition.

APPEARANCE. Each is sharp and bright. Each has excellent contrast. These daguerreotypes jump out.
